Product Manager Intern – Spring

Join Plus One Robotics as a Product Manager Intern to get in on the ground floor of a tenacious startup company that is developing web-connected robotic solutions for logistics and e-commerce applications. As a member of the product team, you will conduct research, answer questions, and perform various activities to support the product management function. This includes efforts that will impact both short-term execution as well as the longer-term direction and roadmap for products at Plus One. A successful internship for the intern entails becoming a core supporting resource for the Product Manager and CTO, with multiple well-thought and thorough deliverables, synthesized and well-supported recommendations, and the opportunity to present one’s findings and thoughts to POR executives as well as engineers.

Duties include:

  • Upon request, conduct primary and secondary research reviewing online content, trade journals and publications, and analyst and industry reports to determine market landscape, trends, market size, players and products.
  • Support the product management team in tracking project timelines, weighing interdependencies, and supporting collaborative efforts to resolve issues and risk.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and present findings with recommendations that will guide decisions about product and technology roadmap, competitor benchmarking, and business development partnerships for ecommerce/logistics software products.
  • Research, collect, understand and report market information about emerging technologies including but not limited to industrial sensors, AI/ML automation, Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and remote workforce interfaces.

We are seeking:

  • MBA grad student. May substitute relevant work experience with applicable skills.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Product Management or marketing, or research analyst experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate and articulate strong research skills, including presenting samples of research papers or presentations you have conducted.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources, present insights effectively, and back up your insights or suggestions with data.
  • Proficiency for conducting effective research over the web.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse tasks and activities successfully in addition to schoolwork (through extracurricular activities, work, volunteerism, or personal projects).
  • Strong and demonstrated interest or experience with entrepreneurship, logistics, ecommerce, automation, and/or start-ups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation skills.
  • University graduate student with a Concentration in Business Operations, Technology Marketing or Entrepreneurship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week (60/40%, remote/in office).

Nice to Haves:

  • MBA graduate student in their 2nd year.
  • Pursuing Software Product Management Career Track.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Product Management or marketing, or research analyst experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Part time, 20 hours/week between M-F, 9:00am-6:00pm.  We can be flexible with schedules for the right candidate.
